Shipping Info

Summer 2024 Heat Alert: As temperatures climb across the country, we are actively monitoring conditions to ensure your wine arrives in excellent condition. We will temporarily pause shipping to states when we believe temperatures will cause spoilage.

We encourage you to take advantage of our free summer Weather Hold, expedited delivery options, and ice-packs. Weather Holds begin shipping in early Fall; we will contact you prior to dispatching your package (you may also request a specific shipping date by using the special instruction box at checkout).

Please note that our shipping insurance does not cover heat damage.


Shipping

We ship from two locations, depending on your state. (please note – this is just an overview. We are unable to ship to all states)

West Coast fulfillment – Carriers are FedEx, GLS, and Third Party Shipping (via third party trucks that transfer to UPS/FedEx/LSO - state specific and can change based on season).

East Coast fulfillment – Carrier is mainly UPS, but FedEx can be utilized if requested in your order. (Certain states can only ship FedEx).

A shipment notification will be sent by email when Ground shipments are sent. Tracking will be listed in your Last Bottle account under ‘order history’ as well.

Ground shipments are sent Monday through Thursday.

If your state is sent via Third Party Shipping (Refrigerated Ground), orders are shipped each Thursday (taking the previous Wednesday-Tuesday orders). Tracking is uploaded to your account the following Monday, but does not show any activity until scanned at your state’s area hub. Once scanned, your tracking link will start to show activity and provide you with an accurate ETA. Delivery is then made within a day or two (occasionally three) depending on your distance from the area hub. Again, no tracking email is available at this time for third party shipments. You’ll want to reference your ‘order history’ to find tracking.

2 Day shipments are only sent Monday through Wednesday.

Overnight shipments are only sent Monday through Thursday.

* Please note, if your expedited order is fulfilled out of the east coast warehouse, your order will most likely not ship until the next business day noted above, as the cut off time usually occurs before or at the time our daily offer goes out.

Orders will usually ship within 2-5 business days unless your coast has sold out and you have purchased from the other coast stock (then replenishment must be received before shipping can take place).

All non-ice packages are packed with pulp materials.  Styrofoam is only used for summer ice pack options.

If you are concerned about the weather in your area, you may select the hold or ice pack options (available only during the summer season). You may also request a specific shipping date (use the special instruction box at checkout), or you may choose a faster shipping method (if available for your state).

Insurance

Last Bottle will automatically add a 1% fee to cover all insurance for each order placed online. This covers you from any package lost or damaged in transit. If you wish to waive the insurance, you may do so by de-selecting the box labeled “Shipping Insurance?” during the checkout process, however, this waives all responsibility from Last Bottle and reduces refund/replacement options.

 

Signature Policy


You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase wine from LastBottleWines.com. It is highly recommended that you provide us with a business shipping address for best service. Customer order requests such as "Please leave on back porch" or "Please leave at front door” cannot be followed, and you will receive an email asking for an updated address.

Title to, and ownership of, all wine passes from Last Bottle Wines to the purchaser in the State of California and the purchaser takes all responsibility for shipping it from California to his/her home state. By arranging for transportation of the wine, Last Bottle Wines is providing a service to, and acting on behalf of the purchaser. By utilizing this service from Last Bottle, the purchaser is representing that he/she is acting in a fashion compliant with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation and delivery of wine. The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of wine and is legally entitled to take quantities ordered and once again authorizes that he/she is 21 years of age.
