Following their phoenix-from-the-flames revival a couple years back, long-time Oregonian Pinot Powerhouse Scott Paul  is BACK…and how! 95 POINTS and OVER 60% OFF!!!

La Paulée is the annual Burgundy Harvest Party — and after one sip, then a full glass, and even polishing off the bottle with dinner (Salmon, asparagus, favas, and sauce gribiche) — all I can say is…what a party!!! This is CLASSIC Willamette Pinot, from an outstanding vintage, and this easily competes with Pinots three or four times the price! To have this for UNDER $20 is straight-up LUNACY and we loaded up every last bottle we possibly could…’cause you NEED some Scott Paul in your life…STAT!

Winemaker Jamie Brown (a Washington cult-phenom known for his work with Waters, Wines of Substance, and 21 Grams wineries) has crafted yet another STUNNING pinot that will easily compete with nearby parcels of iconic houses – you know, names like Domaine Serene, Domaine Drouhin – no biggie, right? It’s that perfect Oregonian balance between ethereal and substantial — a mid-weight, flavor-packed, completely entrancing GEM that gives you florals and fruit, berries and earth, barrel spice and wild woodsiness in this ample and ambitious little bottle of Pinot HEAVEN! All for UNDER $20?! Crazy.

Rose petal tea, and hibiscus agua fresca, then cherries and red plums, with flecks of iron, and lavender incense, and this bright Valencia orange freshness, then cranberries, and cedar, and…AND! It starts delicate and ultra-fine, then builds to a roaring crescendo, with a long and velvety finish. A Pinot to be pursued, a Pinot to be acquired in great store, a Pinot to drink all spring…and summer…and BEYOND!

95 POINTS! And already FLYING!

"The 2024 Scott Paul 'La Paulée' has consistently rich mid-palate weight, with terrific fruit density. Ripe dark cherry, sandalwood, incense, clove, and ultra-fine tannins, dark-berry fruit, a vibrant, radiant core of juicy blood orange acidity, and a grippy tannic finish showing more robust structure from the 2024 growing season—named after Burgundy’s annual French harvest celebration, La Paulée." -Decanter
