Molino Barbaresco Teorema 2019 - Last Bottle

Molino Barbaresco Teorema 2019

Barbaresco…with this score…at this price…SAY WHAT?!?!

MOLINO!! Barbaresco!! Teorema!!!

Man, I truly thought the 2018 couldn’t be beat…93 points and just one of the freshest, hippest, tastiest nebbiolo wines on the entirety of this third rock from the sun. But this…THIS!!!

94 POINTS! Still at an absolutely mind-warping price of way, way UNDER $30!!! Oh yeah, that’s the best price in the entire WORLD by the way…hey, we’re Last Bottle, whaddya expect?!?!

I am just continually floored by how killer this Piedmontese rockstar Barbaresco is. In a world where you see a whole heap of Langhe nebbiolos creeping past the forty, fifty, even $60 price point…who wouldn’t go straight to the source – the CLASSIC Queen of Piedmont – Barbaresco?! Especially for this Last Bottle favorite, Molino Teorema Barbaresco! Life is sooooo good today...

Got some? Sweet. Here's why. Dario Molino made a wine in ‘19 that hits all of our love buttons – fantastic concentration and unending depth, ethereal aromatics that just SOAR with intoxicating perfumes of rose petals, lavender, kirsh…all wrapped up in a bottle of transcendent goodness. The Molino family is CRUSHING IT, again – fresh cherry,  crushed raspberry, mandarin orange, toasted spices, licorice drops, black tea, clove, lavender, even a touch of rosemary...just...mmmmm! Hold please…I’m having a moment.

MAN!! This drop-dead stunner really has it ALL, astonishing price, great score (we said 94 POINTS, right?!), the hyper-cool Molino family, and mostly this OUTRAGEOUSLY good, silky, packed, and infinitely rewarding nebbiolo. I can’t say any more…GET THIS. While it lasts!

About The Producer

Molino is an Italian winery situated in Piemont, specifically in the of Treiso, Guarene, and Costigliole d'Asti. They specialize in producing classic Piemontese wines, including Barbaresco, Barbera d'Alba, Barbera d'Asti, Dolcetto d'Alba, and Moscato d'Asti.

The story begins with Virginio Molino, who started selling wines in Turin in the 1950s. After a couple of decades of expansion, Molino introduced its first Barbaresco vintage in 1971. Later on, the Molino family moved to Barbaresco, where Virginio's sons, Tommaso, Dario, and Franco purchased land in Treiso.

The Ausario vineyard on the Treiso hill grows Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto grapes. These clay-rich soils give life to the Ausario Barbaresco, which is aged in oak barrels and medium-sized casks for 16 to 22 months. In Guarene, they cultivate Arneis on limestone and sand, while the Loreto vineyard is home to Barbera d'Asti and Moscato d'Asti grapes. Agricola Molino's history is a testament to their dedication to crafting traditional Piedmont wines that capture the essence of their terroir, making every bottle a taste of history and tradition.
