Sleeper Sauvignon Blanc Reserve Napa Valley 2020 - Last Bottle

Sleeper Sauvignon Blanc Reserve Napa Valley 2020

NOTHING. Nope, nothing to see here, folks, move along….

OK, well, NOTHING, in this case, means how much of this much-beloved, soul-invigorating, candied-lemon-goodness, Napa Valley all-time Last Bottle hella-classic we have this year…it’s like…close to barely being able to send out an email - we should probably put a reserve price of $100 and put it at Sotheby’s or something… ha ha… but that is NOT us – nope!! SLEEPER SB RESERVE is crashing into your universe today with unmitigated verve and melon-twisting freshness!!

My goodness, please HURRY. Get some. Now. Come back. OK, now read.

Got it? Sweet. SO — here we go. This Reserve, from the same mind-staggering ultra-secret source we’ve had for some years, is rocking (PLEASE read more about this below for you newbies and whatever you do, don’t miss it)  - among the ultra-savvy, richly endowed with lemon-lime craziness, a terrific background of light cream and spice….AHHHH! MORE!!

When I was a kid, I LOVED anything lemon/lime. Don’t EVEN get me started on my dangerous addiction to Lemonhead candy -- it was kindaaaa a big deal and I probably missed most of 3rd grade. Anyway, kaffir. Buddha's hand. Yuzu. Meyer. Key lime. Good ‘ol generic supermarket citrus. Sour Patch kids. I love it. Let’s not get going on kiwi or lemongrass or green mango, either. What I’m getting at is our Sleeper Reserve hits all those buttons for me. I can, and do, regularly drink a bottle of it (it’s been 100+ degrees here). You will love it. This spent 18 months in used top-quality French oak, so it has a lovely roundness to complement the zestiness! So GOOD!!

For the new-to-this: we are longtime Napa Valley locals. We grew up with, schooled with, delivered pizzas and newspapers, and partied with winemakers, vineyard managers, winery GMs and hundreds of now wine-industry people. Now and then one of them will call and offer us a bit of "extra" wine - which we bottle under our exclusive label Sleeper (def: an unexpected success). Often, as is the case today, the source of these wines (which are protected like nuclear launch codes under reams of non-disclosure documents) are very high-end wineries that sell the same wines for MUCH MUCH more!! That's the quick skinny on this wine.

Thanks for reading this far, good on ya!! Is there any left??! Have a great holiday!!
