Casa Lapostolle Cabernet Sauvignon Cuvee Alexandre Apalta 2019 - Last Bottle

Casa Lapostolle Cabernet Sauvignon Cuvee Alexandre Apalta 2019

Oh boy, well, nothing to talk about here…nope…oh, since you asked, I guess…94 POINT CABERNET (plus 92 Wine Advocate) for…..drum roll….FIFTEEN bucks…and holy moly, is it a bang-up job that we’d easily normally pay twice or more for…$15? Wait, is it Marathon Madness? What’s even going on???!

How fast can fingers fly across a screen or a keyboard!?! This special Lapostolle bottling from the famed Alpalta Valley is a MUST — PLEASE do not one more bite of your sandwich or one more mile on your treadmill…whatever you’re doing, stop and GET THIS. Cabernet! 94 points, fifteen bucks! Hard to even type it!

OK. Whooooosh. This has that laser-delicious cassis note for days…with silky, rich structure, lavender perfume, juniper, red flowers, plums, chai spices — very classically Chilean in the best way. Crazy-easy to drink and share and party with! The Apalta Valley has been the source of WAY too many to count (it’s Sunday, we’re being lazy) high-scoring wines…several 100-pointers, too…the Lapostolle family are legends in this valley and making the best wines of their relatively long history.

Probably some math error here, but hey whatevs…$15!! Wicked! While it lasts..and that will not be long…happy Sunday!

"This Cuvée Alexandre Cabernet Sauvignon is obtained from selected plots of our own vineyards in the famous Apalta Valley. Elegant and expressive, with notes of ripe fruit, a velvety palate and a lingering finish, the result is a unique wine true to its origin, a classic expression of Cabernet Sauvignon."

About The Producer

"Lapostolle was founded by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournet in 1994. Since 1827 the Bournet-Lapostolle Family has been dedicated to the production of spirits and fine wines. Today it is the seventh generation, Charles de Bournet, who is at the head of the Domaine.

After visiting Chile, Alexandra and Cyril not only fell in love with the Apalta Valley, they also detected the enormous potential of the country to produce high quality wines due to its exceptional geographical characteristics.

Under a dedicated vision, Lapostolle has been a pioneer in the wine industry in Chile. Today her premium wines continue to elevate the region with a strong emphasis on sustainability.

Lapostolle is recognized throughout the world for its quality and its extraordinary ability to express the Chilean terroir. The vineyard has 3 vineyards with a mosaic of terroirs in the Apalta Valley."
