World's End Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Crossfire 2015 - Last Bottle

World's End Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Crossfire 2015

WHEEEEW!! Mamma mia, that was a wicked-crazy, up-for-nearly-36-hours kinda marathon, are we right?? Madness, indeed -- we hope you scored some goodies...we are able to donate over $72,000 to our chosen charities -- Napa Food Bank and Boys and Girls Club of Napa Valley!! THANK YOU ALL!

OK, back to our regularly scheduled planet-smashing deals-of-the-day….

BECKSTOFFER GEORGES III RUTHERFORD CABERNET FROM 2015!! Brain-rattling price!

Hey, if you KNOW World’s End, you know. Those that do? They’re already off to the park or whatever, because they locked up their amazing 6-pack at the WHOPPING, crazy $85 OFF, (yes, correct, seems wrong but we checked and we do know how to use calculators) ---- yeehaw! Happy Saturday!

Fun facts: This wine is 100% Beckstoffer George III Vineyard in Rutherford (boom!), and is named after a Stevie Ray Vaughan song (Bordeaux legend Jonathan Maltus names all his Napa wines after classic rock songs).

This really is an astounding buy (though there is not a lot of it, sadly). For the unfamiliar, World's End is the uber-high-end Napa project from Bordeaux winemaking legend Jonathan Maltus (who has made countless 95-100 point wines with his Chateau Le Dome, Chateau Mazerat, and others - Google him). They are for those of you who dig the unabashed modern style -- and wines that cost way, WAY more. This deal is just flat-out amazing!! Rich, dark, brooding, powerful Cabernet. This is a leviathan --- intense black and blue fruit, dense, INTENSE and broad, with baked berries and mint, espresso and mocha. Rich French oak barrel notes, mouth-coating texture, plush dark-cocoa coated finish. Anyway, it's powerhouse Napa goodness all the way (and from this classic vineyard!), and it is, we say again, with much EMPHASIS, a truly earth-shattering deal. This seems to be one of the very few World’s End’s that never got rated -- but really, who cares. Trust us, this is BIG TIME! You will love it!

Collectors...this is also one to cellar --- will last 15-20 years!! WOW!! Please hurry is all that is left to say!!

CROSSFIRE shows earlier than its fellow Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer
stable mate from To-Kalon – coming out of the traps blazing! In the heart of
the Rutherford AVA, the Georges III vineyard was planted in 1895 by Mrs.
Thomas Rutherford. This 300-acre parcel first purchased by Beaulieu founder
Georges de Latour in 1928 and called Beaulieu Vineyard Number 3. Hence
‘Georges’ and ‘III’.

About The Producer

World’s end is the brainchild of Jonathan Maltus. Jonathan Maltus is much better known for making wine in St. Emilion from a variety of different terroirs. Maltus also makes wine in Australia. Chateau Le Dome and Chateau Teyssier are his 2 best known Right Bank wines. You’d think with all that experience producing Right Bank wines, he would focus on Merlot and Cabernet Franc. But that is not the case here.

At first, Jonathan Maltus wanted to buy his own vineyard. He came close to purchasing property on Spring Mountain. When that initial deal fell apart, he tracked down some very good, sources for grapes chiefly from Andy Beckstoffer and it was off to the races.

The main sources for grapes used to produce World’s End wines comes from To Kalon Missouri Hooper, Vineyard D Missouri Hooper, Vineyard B Circle S, Coombsville Sugarloaf Mountain Beckstoffer Vineyard, Georges III Carneros Lake Vineyard, Pritchard Hill and the Stagecoach vineyard. Several of the wines are Left Bank Bordeaux styled blends with various amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
