Croce di Mezzo is BACK! While bringing in the new vintage, we delved deep into the cellar at the winery and snagged some of the luscious ‘12 (which many of you may know and love from several years back). THE PRICE! It’s still so….gobstopping. Just landed in Napa, direct from the winery cellars -- woo hooo!
Croce is one of our all-time great finds in Brunello - it’s sandwiched between two full-on mega rockstars of the region, Biondi Santi and Fattoria dei Barbi. Imagine Led Zeppelin on your left, and Beyonce on your right. Anyway -- with 9 years of chillin’ in the winery, this has the glorious complexity only a little time can produce -- behind all the pure, flowing blackfruits, that beautiful tangy citrus (tangerine?) note, there’s a bit of leather and cloves...MMMMM. Long and fascinating , this evolves and swirls and morphs during the time in your glass. OK, off to the market for pasta...C-ya! While it lasts!
Delicate wild berry, underbrush, clove and grilled herb scents waft from the glass. The palate is ethereal and light-bodied, offering red cherry, pomegranate, and cinnamon flavors with
a touch of game. Tangy acidity and supple tannins make it approachable now.

About The Producer
Tenuta Crocedimezzo is a family-run company that has been producing Brunello di Montalcino Docg, Rosso di Montalcino Doc, a small quantity of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Grappa di Brunello, Rosolio and for some years a particular wine for over forty years aged for one or two years in "barrique" called "Crociato Nero". In our jewel cellar, our wines are refined and rested, which we personally take care of with so much passion, giving us so much satisfaction and appreciation from our loyal customers. All this without ever losing sight of the right quality/price ratio. Crocedimezzo is an estate that since its debut in 1971 has been distinguished by the constant and tenacious search for the quality of its products, receiving, in the world of high-level wines, more and more important international awards that encourage it to continue for this road.
