Now, you know how great brothers Ezio and Massimo Negretti’s wines are. We have been serving them up for years -- so to have the drop-dead awesome ‘16s finally in...anyway, as you might remember, the brothers own prime stretches of vineyard in Roddi, La Morra and Monforte, and make powerful, classically-styled, ageable wines from their winery near La Morra.

As with most Barolo from great vintages, it’s BIG. If you open one soon, DECANT IT. Nebbiolo LOVES air. The bottle we opened this morning is already done, so we just popped another for later. Expect to be rocked backwards, however, by the gorgeous nose of rose, orange pekoe tea leaf, clove, plum, sweet cherries and more and more and more as it breathes and opens. Bright and packed with flavor in your mouth, with more cocoa nibs, dried flowers, tea...crazy long finish. So lightweight but so crammed with goodness. Will last for YEARS in your cellar, too, if you so choose. Whatever you do, do it quick, the rest of the planet is catching on and we don’t have much! While it lasts!
