You may remember last year we offered the uber-rare LE DOME St. Emilion from maverick garagiste winemaker Jonathan Maltus. SAME OWNER and same SOURCE as Le Dome, without the $300+ price tag….and all the rockstar-level winemaking. Cool, right? Some very old vines on this property as well, and a slew of big press and pedigree. We bought every bottle we could last year, sold out in an hour (with this price!? Um, yeah), and then our France connection offered us a bit more at the same eye-popping price. Zing! Wow! We cannot get enough Bordeaux!

OH — NOT for the SHY! Sorry, nope! Dark, brooding, muscle-y, cracking the ceiling with dark berries and dark cocoa, espresso, dense and packed with flavors of cedar, cigar box, and toastiness…a HEAD-SPINNER, with fresh acidity to back it all up and keep the goodness coming. We WILL likely run out quick today once again (that’s been a theme this week!), so put down the iced tea (or G+T) and click on over. This is St. Emilion for DRINKING – pop one the moment it arrives and then give us a ring - we can chat about the dark cocoa, or the cedar, or the way it goes so sublimely with lamb gyros….OK, we’re out! While it lasts! 

This powerful ripe wine has firm tannins that are so well integrated. With acidity and with rich black fruit, the wine is concentrated and dense. From a small parcel on the slope of Saint-Emilion, it is a wine to age for many years. Drink from 2026.

VIEUX CHATEAU MAZERAT is surrounded by CHATEAU CANON onthree sides and by CHATEAU ANGELUS on the west. The Vineyard is stuck in themiddle of ‘Cru Classé’ territory and faces CHATEAU BEAUSEJOUR DUFFAULAGAROSSE. The vineyard is a mixture of 35% very old Cabernet Franc vinesand 65% Merlot on clay over limestone.
