Carabella Vineyard Pinot Noir Estate Chehalem Mountains Oregon 2013
La di da…
Nothing to see here, folks…
Oh, ok. So a couple weeks ago we were sampling our usual terrifying amount of wine (we taste, on average, 100+ wines a week from all over the planet) and all of a sudden THIS gorgeous, ripe, silky, straight-up lovely pinot from Carabella in the Chehalem region of Oregon just KNOCKED us out (we love days like that). We make some calls. We make a mind-blowing deal. We all buy a case for ourselves. Life is good. Oh, and we bought some for YOU…60% OFF! Wow!
Just GET THIS. For $16?? 90 POINTS to boot? Trust us, drink it all summer without a care in the world -- we are! A totally under-the-radar producer, as the 90-point writeup notes, but that may become less the case after we send this email out. Either way, we’re OK -- for $16, this delivers a HUGE blast of flavor --- light on its feet, as pinot should be! It has an excellent freshness and focus, and lots of bright, warm cherry fruit with a smattering of red whips, rhubarb and toasty, easy-drinking spices.
An amazing buy. Did we mention 60% OFF? Oh, we did. Cool. While it lasts…!
