Fabre en Provence Rose Cotes de Provence 2017

Not a typo. TEN. BUCKS. Man, bring on the summer. Delicious, pure-as-the-driven-snow, simple rose priced to totally never harsh your mellow!!

17 GENERATIONS. That’s how long the Fabre family has been producing wine from their spectacular vineyards on the Provence coast. 17 MONTHS. That’s how long we’ve been waiting to buy some!! THE DAY IS HERE!

What a price. Wow! This is a “case buy” if we ever had one - ten bucks for legit Provence rose, are you nuts? Perhaps we are...anyway, this is one of the MOST popular wines in all of France, and definitely for rose, and we’ve been waiting patiently (not really) to score a bit -- so please move lightning fast if you need this life-sustaining juice in your life!!

Rose is MEANT to be quaffed. Not pontificated about, really, or painstakingly examined and dissected, this is wine to DRINK! With GUSTO and joie de vivre!! Strawberries! Peaches! Rose petal! Bone dry and crisp as a Pringle! Which, incidentally, is not a bad pairing! Whatever you do, do it quick, this will sell out for sure. While it lasts..!

Aromas are violets, rose water, crushed graphite, sea salt, pine and peach. On the palate it is bright, racy and juicy, with a pleasing, lush mid-palate and a touch of raspberry and sea salt at the finish.

About The Producer

Fabre family has carefully acquired exceptional growing sites in the Var region, and now have the largest family-run estate in Southern France, with more than 550 hectares under vine. Most proudly, they are the largest producer of cru classé rosé – the “best of the best” – with two of Provence’s coveted eighteen cru classé designations bearing their crest. As a result, the name Fabre has been become synonymous with Provence. Today, their beloved region is indeed famous the world-over; and they are proud to make France’s bestselling, most popular estate-grown rosés. This rosé utilizes the know-how of the family and the specificity of each soil. Fabre en Provence was created in 1920 by Henri Fabre Sr. in the village of Besse sur Issole. At that time the company was already selling wine from Provence and the best of France, hand selected from our ancestors. He quickly became the largest producer in the South of France. After the acquisition of Château de la Clapière in 1928 and Château de L’Aumérade
in 1932, Henri Fabre Sr devoted himself exclusively to his
wineries. He was one of the first to own a bottling line and work for
the recognition of Côtes de Provence. His son Louis Fabre joined him in
the 50s and helped develop the business in France and abroad. While Fabre en Provence had
been put on standby, Louis Fabre and Henri Fabre Jr decided to
revive the company by modernizing the distribution channel, and focusing
on providing service and quality to their customers.
