Seriously, though, this is terrifically concentrated, plush, juicy red  -- you might confuse it with something around $50 from California, honestly. Chateau Aladeres is in the important Corbieres region of the Languedoc however, where you have the old-vine Carignan, Syrah and Grenache that make up this blend. Legendary super-consultant Stephane Derenoncourt helps out here as well, and we were completely blown away by the wild drinkability of this wine --- even more so when we negotiated this amazing price. 92 POINTS!

What’s it like? Well, put on your softest, silkiest T-shirt and get comfortable!! Dark purple and perfumey as all get out. Crushed flowers, pie crust, violets, warm plums, lavender, and clove all hit your nose and that sort of gushes onto your palate, too. No hard edges, silky, mouth-filling, with a spicy, clovey, lavender finish. Incredibly good for our head-spinning price. BUT! BUT! Get it while we have it (and maybe you’ll get the $50 credit, too)! Go, go go!
