Listen, Barolo lovers, Barolo-curious, aficionados and really any level of upright human who loves the good stuff, STOP what you are doing and grab a few of these at least. WOW! Manzone just CRUSHES IT in the fantastic 2013 vintage with their flagship Gramolere bottling (the vineyard is in Monforte d’Alba), and our pricing is just out of this world, not-going-to-see-again. A MUST! Super-limited!

Our love for the Manzone family and wines runs deep. You too, of course, as it is one of our all-time LB faves, and has been for years (we are so lucky to have these amazing wines!). As noted, 2013 is a powerhouse vintage, but the silky, supple Manzone style is ever-present here, making these joyous to drink even young (although 10, 20, 30 years of age will work, too!). Don’t just take our word…”Manzone's 2013 Barolo Gramolere is gorgeous...super-attractive...especially refined…” -- A. Galloni in Vinous

The super-pure, sexy cherry fruit. The subtle, wildly complex levels of tea, citrus peel, flowers and spice. AHHHH! MUST drink!! Please, please get some so you too can experience the glory of the wonderful 13s. We are your vinous consultants, we’ll NEVER steer you wrong, promise, cross our hearts and triple-pinkie swear. While it lasts!

This wine is bottled 40 months after harvest. Maceration with the skins for 30/40 days at 28-31°C. The nose is intense and harmonic, fruity, cherry and raspberry. Spicy and balsamic ending with taste of Warm, full, supple, with excellent tannic balance and sapid.

About The Producer

1925 Manzone Giovanni purchased “Ciabot del Preve” (the Parish Priest
house) and he started the winemaking in Monforte d’Alba. During the years the Manzone family purchased important
vineyards on the historic hill of “CASTELLETTO” and “GRAMOLERE”, two of
the best crus in Monforte d'Alba. In the last years Mauro (2005) and Mirella Manzone (2012) joined their
father Giovanni in the management of the winery. Mauro and Mirella are
graduated from the famed Oenology School of Alba.
