Cantina Museo Albea Primitivo Gran Maestoso Puglia 2016 - Last Bottle

Cantina Museo Albea Primitivo Gran Maestoso Puglia 2016

NOT a typo! 97 POINTS! Scores like that usually have a direct correlation to PRICE, right? But this wine’s original price ($25) is wacky-low enough...then we came in and did what we do --- turning everything you thought you understood as normal upside down….this wine is $15 today!! $15!!

$15. It’s less than parking in San Fran for a few hours. Crazy. Luca Maroni, well-known as Italy’s premier wine critic, simply GUSHES about this wine, and he is SO right on. What a blast to drink!! Hailing from vineyards in southern Apulia near the town of Alberobello, this wine is hard to put in a box for you. Has the weight of Pinot Noir, the jamminess of Zinfandel, the complexity of some French Chateauneuf-du-Pape….but it’s all Italy. Bay leaf, cherry, strawberry ganache, cigar box and ripe juicy mouthfeel, this also manages to be light on its feet --- so crazy good to drink alone or with anything yummy you think up. 6 Months in French oak. A MUST at our wicked-crazy price, right??? C’mon!! $15!! 97 points! Won’t last long…..
