You already know this of course, but great, fine, true food can be as mind-altering and hedonistically satisfying as any great bottle of wine. Everyone remembers their first epiphany-level burger, pasta, pizza, sushi or whatever it is that gets your salivary glands into hyperdrive. This stuff is so delicious and complex, it’s easy to compare it to wine in trying to get to the heart of its alluring alchemy. Rich and mouthcoating, boldly fruity, with a fantastic peppery kick that reminds us of white peppercorns and even a touch of that awesome Sichuan pepper. Here at the office, we keep bottles in the kitchen for lashing toasted bread, fresh mozzarella, fresh veggies and of course a good salad, but for true hedonism, drizzle it over a good steak hot off the grill like the Tuscans do...just intoxicatingly, sensationally good, trust us!!

Mocine, an agricultural cooperative organization, is really first
class. In the area of Chiusure di Asciano, Mocine produces and bottles organic
extra virgin olive oil and quality wines like Mocine, Otto Rintocchi e
S´Indora, which come from a long selection of precious grapes:
Sangiovese, Colorino and two old local varieties, Foglia Tonda and
Barsaglina.
The atmosphere of Mocine lends a special flavour to the products of the land, man and nature being inextricably linked. We produce and bottle organic extra virgin olive oil only from Tuscany.
Olives are hand-picked from 2.300 olive trees of Frantoio, Correggiolo,
Leccino, Moraiolo varieties. The result is an oil which possesses an
intense fragrance and an elegant taste.

About The Producer
Mocine farm lies at the heart of the superb landscape of "The Crete
Senesi", in the province of Siena, an area of breathtaking beauty
dominated by hills shaped by time and set in fascinating endless lines.
The Crete area is also one of the world famous vinelands, where care for
quality and environment is an indispensable characteristic. The farm
produces premium wines from a careful selection of Sangiovese and
Colorino grapes, in addition to two ancient Tuscan varieties, Foglia
Tonda and Barsaglina. The farm also
produces and bottles Mocine, an excellent extra virgin olive oil from
organic cultivation.
In this unique and enchanting setting, there is also the Mocine
farmhouse. The structure offers three apartments for up to 16 people
and a large lounge. With a visit, you will be able to enjoy moments of rest, taste the
local specialities, visit unmissable places like Montalcino, Pienza,
Cortona e Siena, one of the most attractive cities in Italy, rich in
history, art and culture, famous worldwide for its Palio, an event whose
origin dates back to the XVII century, and which is held in the
marvellous Piazza del Campo.
