Woah. No, no...not like that. Like Neo in The Matrix...WOAH! Better. OK, pinot-philes, Burghounds, TODAY just became your best day EVER! Seriously, six, count ‘em, SIX epic vintages, for one spectacular vertical that just might be the MOST UNREAL deal on pinot noir we’ve ever seen. Like ever...

For $29 a bottle? OVER $350 OFF the winery price? Utter lunacy. Make a list of Oregon’s top pinot pros – you know, like Beaux Frères, Ken Wright, Soter, Adelsheim, Bergström…what do they have in common? THIS! The Ribbon Ridge estate – the infamous Ridgecrest Vineyard – planted in 1980 as Willamette Valley’s most westerly vineyard by Harry Peterson himself! They called him a madman, a fool, and other names not fit for print...you DO NOT plant vineyards this far west, this far north – it CANNOT be done. He did. It was. And the world of high-end, top-scoring, Oregon PINOT NOIR will never be the same.

Everybody wants this fruit. They even made a Sub-AVA of Ribbon Ridge as a result of Harry’s success – but we’ve got the OG for you TODAY! Did you see those SCORES?! A 92, three 93s, two 94s… all straight from the Peterson family’s winery, and ready to leave you crying tears of vinous joy! Harry’s daughter, Wynne, crafts these beauties nowadays – after stints in NZ, Burgundy, and a Masters in Oenology from UC Davis. There is skill and generational magic pumping here, lined up all in a row, six glasses on my desk…and…DANG! We’re crushing hard on these at the office – pretty much zero work will be achieved for the rest of the day. This winery keeps very little fruit for themselves and these wines WILL go out hyper-fast. Their RR Reserve consists of the best grapes, top lots, and most incredible parcels…these just flat-out ROCK! If great, balanced, classy, AGEWORTHY pinot is your thing...today is your day! Not enough time to break down each – peep the highlights below and go, Go, GO!!!

The 2012: “Pliant, expansive red and dark berry flavors stain the palate, showing outstanding clarity and back-end lift. Combines power and finesse deftly” - Vinous

The 2013: “Taut, focused and vibrant, with cherry, blackberry, sassafras and black tea flavors in deft distribution…Has presence and serenity.” - Wine Spectator

The 2014“It displays a great intensity of red berry and spicy flavors, supported by finely grained tannins and great freshness, finishing long and spicy.” - Wine Advocate

The 2015: “Sexy, highly perfumed aromas…Juicy and well-concentrated yet lively, offereing sappy black raspberry, bitter cherry and spicecake” - Vinous

The 2016“Vibrant, sharply delineated red and blue fruits and fresh lavender scents…Finishes impressively long…with harmonious tannins and emphatic, floral-tinged persistence.” - Vinous

The 2017: “A highly aromatic bouquet evokes ripe raspberry, cherry liqueur, candied rose and smoky minerals, plus a hint of exotic spices in the background.” - Vinous

WHAT A VERTICAL!!!! (What a deal!) While it lasts…!

About The Producer

Over 40 years ago, Harry Peterson set out to Willamette Valley. He was one of the first to plant there, back when there were only 8– acres planted to vine in the entire Willamette Valley. He purchased the Ridgecrest winery in 1980, a parcel farther west than any winemaker at the time would dare to settle. Harry doesn’t know whether he lucked out or saw it coming– but we like to think it’s the latter.

He was one of the key players in establishing Ribbon Ridge AVA in 2005 and continues to foster its legacy of excellence today along with his daughter, Wynne, who took over as winemaker in 2009 after several years crewing and cellaring in wineries all over the world, from Burgundy to New Zealand before returning to Ribbon Ridge Winery. With her, she brings a cutting-edge technique that compliments her deep understanding of the land she calls home.
