Backstage Wines Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Showtime Vineyard Napa Valley 2019

IT’S SHOWTIME!  That’s right folks, we have summoned up one hellacious demon of a deal for you on this (for now) OFF-THE-RADAR, wicked-bomber cabernet steal, straight outta Coombsville. SHOWTIME! Backstage’s Reserve cabernet sauvignon (normally $145 and strictly allocation only wine) from the Showtime vineyard in south Napa’s cool, volcanic, Coombsville AVA. 

It’s DARK, yo! $45 for a single-vineyard Napa cabernet is straight up RAW (you crossword folks know what I’m saying…rarer than rare). This one is pumping out cooling aromatics of bay laurel, white strawberries, peonies, and dried thyme – seriously old-school Bordeaux vibes…but then! A sneak attack of powerful black and blue fruits come rushing in… chocolate-covered blueberries, black cherry, and boysenberry trifle. Wave after wave pounds you down and down, like an El Niño shore-break swell at The Wedge. 

Napa’s earth-shatteringly stellar vintage of 2019 is on full display – concentration and freshness, vivacity, and complexity… this is a perfect wine to drink or hold. Not gonna lie, this came out of nowhere, folks. We pride ourselves on knowing almost every producer in this valley, and to be caught unawares here…just a SHOCKING debut.
