Handley Cellars Pinot Noir Anderson Valley 2017 - Last Bottle

Handley Cellars Pinot Noir Anderson Valley 2017

PINOT PEOPLE!

Wrap your lovin’ arms around this wicked deal from Anderson Valley on this fine Sunday -- $30 LESS than retail, 92 POINTS, a wine we say with some tinge of embarrassment that we drank 3 bottles of last night with friends (and hella tacos) -- insanely delicious and soul-satisfying juice...what a price!! Not alot though...Handley doesn’t make much but we could not help buying every bottle they’d sell us….

Fun fact: 15% of the pinot grapes in this bottle come from a vineyard called “Helluva”. Gotta love that. Did you get some? Is it gone yet?

This is one of those rock-solid wineries that people don’t talk about -- no one who’s ever ever had them wants the secret to get out (and prices to go up)! Your humble scribe has been visiting and drinking Handley wines since the 90s -- helluva value at $50...but at our Last Bottle price?? Madness. I bought 2 cases.

Ripe, lush, juicy and silky, this most definitely has that fresh-cherry-pie-out-of-the-oven thang goin’ on, with cola, lavender, toasty Asian spices, clove and baking spice in general, and a finishing line of acidity that keeps it pumpin”. Extra mucho yum with large quantities of tacos from TK’s La Calenda last night, but just honestly anytime, anywhere, with anything. YUM! The price! While it lasts!
