La Massa Toscana 2015

Uhhhhhh….Okaaaaay, pretty sure this is the best offer of 2019 so far. HOW, how, we ask, do we do this???

Who cares, don’t ask, just throw yourself headlong into the breach of Super-Tuscan greatness (94 POINTS! Eighteen dollars! $18!) with as much gusto and energy you can muster, because this astounding offer is going to BLOW OUT of here today in record time. Wow! STOP whatever and do everything you can to snag some. Please!

WHEW! Hope we got that urgency up enough for you. It’s real! NOW -- let’s talk LA MASSA. After spending time in Bordeaux, Giampaolo Motta left his family's leather business behind in Naples and headed north to work in Chianti where he learned the art of winemaking. 1998 was the first La Massa, from the Panzano region of Tuscany. He got huge Wine Spectator scores and the rest is history. Now, one of Bordeaux’s most famous and respected consultants, Stephane Derenoncourt is on board and the huge qualitative roll is continuing.

“You absolutely can't beat this unbelievable value from Tuscany.” -- The Wine Advocate

At OUR price, that is a wicked understatement. This is a “case me” kind of deal, folks. So what’s it like? 60% Sangiovese, 25% Merlot and the rest is Cabernet and a drop of Alicante. SUPER Tuscan indeed. Black fruits mix with bright red berries, juicy, dark and mouthcoating, with plenty of toasty spice. Truly shockingly good for $18, we CAN’T get over it!! As your trusted partners in all things vinous, we recommend getting AS MUCH as you can. It will be gone in the blink of an eye! Did we mention 94 points?

La Massa has 27 ha of vineyard exposed to the south in the Conca d'Oro of Panzano with an average altitude of 360 m s.l.m. The lands are mainly composed of scaly clays and galestro, the rearing system is the spurred cordon with a yield per vine of about 0.9 kg of grapes, the density is 6,250 vines / ha.
