Bodegas San Valero Particular Garnacha Old Vines 2015 (375mL) - Last Bottle

Bodegas San Valero Particular Garnacha Old Vines 2015 (375mL)

Like a strawberry jam-laden, cherry juice-soaked phoenix rising from our Napa warehouse, it is with total, utter, impassioned STOKE that we unveil the new vintage of Particular Old-Vine in the handy, loveable, outrageously, impossibly-priced half-bottle!! SIX dollars? Not six pounds? Or Euros? No, no, this is one great deal, and a longtime particular (sorry) favorite for Last Bottle clients and anyone who loves fruit-bomby, juicy goodness! Wow!

Hey, we realize it’s hard to wrap your head around the price...we can’t really believe it either. Nevertheless, despite the seeming unreality of it, here we are. This is old-vine Grenache (Garnacha) from San Valero, located in the Cariñena region of northeast Spain, and we ask them every year to make MORE half-bottles, not only because we ALWAYS sell out, but also because we go to a LOT of movies and they are perfect to sneak into the theatre, not to mention:

  • a back pocket

  • purse

  • glove box

  • your desk drawer at work

Etc. You get the idea. Gushing red fruits, generous sweet oak and baking spices, a touch of sweet balsamic and even some caramel, it is a BIG wine with bold flavor and packs a LOT in for the jaw-dropping price. We bought every bottle they would make for us but it is highly likely that we’ll sell out in record time..DON’T WAIT!! Good luck ---- see you at the movies!

In the Particular collection, wines tradition and innovation come together. It is a tribute to the winery origins, when winegrowers made the wine for themselves. A limited production, inspired by ancestral customs, and ready to be enjoyed in the 21st century.

Attractive red cherry color. Intense mature black fruits aroma
with balsamic nuances from its ageing in barrel.
Strong, tasty and fleshy on the palate, with a fruity
and mature retro nasal persistence.
