Korrell Riesling Trocken Nahe 2016

Daaaaaaaaang! Prepare to be ZAPPED -- holy cow, what a brilliant, shining, tastebud-tingler of a wine --- 91 POINTS, 50% OFF and virtually impossible to even FIND in this country (that’s why we zip off to Germany once a year, to dig these gems up)!

For $15, this is outrageously delicious --- LITERALLY mouth-watering. DRY Riesling with fabulous minerality, just...well, like putting a peach and Meyer lemon juice-drizzled stone in your mouth -- fantastic acidity and pure freshness, it’s like a lightning bolt to your cheeks. SO GOOD! So clean and dry and uber-refreshing --- fantastic food wine, too, we might add. This is a MAJOR crowd-pleaser any way you slice it, for any level of wine drinker -- impressive as hell.

The Korrell estate is located in the commune of Bad Kreuznach in the Nahe wine-growing region in Germany. The Korrell family originated in Spain, and has been involved in wine production here for more than 250 years. Did we mention 91 POINTS and the best price EVAH? About The Producer

The Korrell estate is located in the commune of Bad Kreuznach in the Nahe wine-growing region in Germany. The Korrell family originated in Spain, and has been involved in wine production here for more than 250 years. This was originally a mixed farming operation, but when Wilfried Korrell took over the property in 1967, he converted it to be exclusively a wine-producing operation. He is now assisted by his son Martin, who is responsible for the cellar. The vineyard area totals 23 hectares, the leading grape variety planted is Riesling with 11 hectares planted. The white wines are left on the lees for an extended period, and are bottled relatively early so as the wine can be enjoyed while youthful and energetic.
